AP French 

School of French offers students of French a thorough preparation for the AP French exam by practicing the language at an advanced level with a variety of authentic print and audio materials.

The interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational tasks that we practice during our lessons reflect the type of questions that students will encounter on the actual AP exam and revolve around the six themes addressed in an AP French course. By exploring these themes, students gain cultural knowledge, greater grammatical accuracy and a broader vocabulary base.

Students will practice the following skills:
  • Reading and listening to authentic material in French
  • Analyzing and synthesizing information
  • Answering multiple-choice questions
  • Writing e-mails
  • Developing a persuasive essay
  • Participating in dialogues
  • Making oral presentations based on cultural comparison
Due to COVID-19, all lessons will be conducted via Zoom until it is safe to resume lessons in-person

Cost per Lesson

Private (one student): $45 per hour
​Semi-private (two students): $65 per hour

Terms and Conditions

  • Private lessons are payable by check, cash, or through Venmo.  
  • Lessons are non-refundable due to no-show by student. 
  • Private lessons packages are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase. Under no circumstances can a private lessons package be refunded, in part or in full.
  • Your instructor must be notified at least 24 hours in advance of any schedule change or lesson cancellation you wish to make. Otherwise, you will be charged for the lesson or the lesson will be deducted from your package. For lesson cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance, an attempt will be made to reschedule the lesson on a different day during the same week. 
  • Returned checks are subject to a $25 charge.
