Lucile Lunde was born in France and grew up bilingual French and German. She obtained a Master's degree in French and German from Colorado State University in 2017 and has a Master's degree in International Tourism from France. Lucile also lived in Germany for 15 years between where she worked in international corporations.
In 2004, Lucile emigrated to British Columbia, Canada where she worked as a freelance translator for 5 years. She met her American husband on Vancouver Island and they moved to Fort Collins in 2009 with their baby to be closer to her husband’s family.
From 2012 to 2015, Lucile taught French and German in group classes to young children using Music Lingua. In addition, Lucile gained experience teaching French children at a local school in Fort Collins. In 2013, Lucile extended her language services to offer private and semi-private lessons to adults, teenagers, and school-age children.

Since graduating with her Master's degree in French and German, Lucile has been teaching at Colorado Community Colleges Online, Aims Community College, and the University of Northern Colorado. She also developed French courses for these institutions and for CSU Online. In addition to teaching, Lucile is a Subject Matter Expert for French and German with Quality Matters and reviews the quality of online courses when institutions seek to obtain the QM-certification. Lucile is also a certified AAPPL rater and evaluates the proficiency level of K-12 students in that capacity. AAPPL is an assessment of standards-based language learning and is part of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.
Lucile has a passion for teaching languages, culture, and literature and she hopes to inspire students to pursue their journey in a new language and culture.
French group classes and private lessons are offered to families in Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, Wellington, and surrounding areas.
