Lucile is fantastic! She is very communicative and a great instructor. My level of French is intermediate and she has helped me learn a great deal during our group classes. I've had experiences in the past where I either feel like I can barely get through a sentence because I'm constantly being corrected or like I'm not learning to correct my grammar at all, but Lucile corrects me the perfect amount. She is encouraging, while also able to clearly explain how to use what tense and when. Merci, Lucile!
Lucille is an outstanding teacher. Her class was well structured between topics of discussion based upon the reading and video assignments and grammar work. She created an atmosphere that put students at ease in speaking, gently correcting our errors as she taught. My French improved significantly, and I look forward to continuing my studies.
Ms.Lucile Lunde is an amazing French instructor. My daughter has been working with her for over three years. She has taught her how to read, write and speak French correctly with an excellent accent and an understanding of the culture and language. She has been exceptional in working with her very busy high school schedule and has structured a custom program designed to prepare her to take the high school AP exam next spring. She is dedicated to making sure she is learning everything correctly. Ms. Lunde has my daughter write and discuss essays for her, watch and discuss French movies, and read French Literature and discuss plot and character development. Lucile is extremely nice and very supportive and encouraging. I recommend her for any level of student. Lastly, while in France last year, my daughter was able to speak fluently with native speakers and many commented on how we'll she spoke and that her accent was excellent. Thank you Lucile for all you have done for us. We appreciate you more than you will know.
I felt hesitant and nervous to try French again after not using it for 30 years! Especially to speak it. Lucille made me feel comfortable right away and had our class jump right in and start speaking right away- so there was no time for nerves. Her Beginner class was a great experience and a great way to get back up to speed. I enjoyed it so much and look forward to taking the next level. This is the perfect way to prepare for future travel to French speaking countries. Thanks Lucille!! So glad you’re here in Fort Collins!!
French is a hard language to learn but Lucille is very patient and understands that everyone learns at a different pace. I was in a beginners class of four students,.We had online courses where you could work at your own pace and we met once a week in person. I enjoyed both aspects. The in person classes were fun and a good chance to practice. I would highly recommend Lucille's class if you are wanting to learn French. I will be following up in the Fall for more lessons.
Lucile is wonderful! I have a ways to go, but she has made my French so much better already. Her patient and kind demeanor really helps build confidence...as trying to speak a foreign language can be uncomfortable and intimidating. I highly recommend her! Merci Lucie! Looking forward to the next session.
I attended Lucile’s class for one semester. The program was interesting, interactive, and fast-paced. Lucile is very knowledgeable about linguistics and creates a supportive environment. I’m a bit shy but I never felt stressed in class, even when I couldn’t remember something. I couldn’t believe how much I learned when I went back to my own studies afterword! I hope I can take another class in the future. Definitely recommend if you’re wanting to learn or practice French!
For 15 weeks I worked with Lucile on Intermediate French in a private group of three. I couldn't be more thrilled with the structure and environment of these classes. The online system works through everything you need at your own pace, and the in-person sessions are both fun and interesting. Lucile creates a very safe and open space for learning which is absolutely needed when embarking on the adventure that is french.

I had a great experience working with Lucile and started to feel more confident in my ability to speak French. I found the online platform to be helpful as well. It helped me to improve even when we weren't face-to-face! I would recommend her to any motivated student looking to improve their French.
Lucile was great! Her process was very organized and well planned out. We lucked out and were able to sit outside and learn in a casual and beautiful setting. I am traveling to France for a week, and I feel very prepared to navigate, order food and drink, and understand basic conversation.
Prof. Lunde's class is really well organized and very engaging. She provides the students with any needed material and always lets them know, well in advance, what will be the subjects for the next classes. The topics that Prof. Lunde discusses in class are always relevant, interesting and allow the students to have a very good practice of their listening and speaking skills. The contents and structure of Prof. Lunde's class provide the students with relevant knowledge of France's culture and history, which are essential complements for the learning of French. In short, Prof. Lunde's classes are excellent.
Merci Lucile! I can't wait to start the next class this fall. This class has been great; engaging and a very comfortable learning environment.
Lucile is great! Very patient and knowledgeable. Great way to learn in a small group setting. Highly recommend!
I had a great experience working with Lucile. I took French lessons on and off again with her for more than a year, and she was always professional, accommodating of my work schedule, and able to create a comfortable learning environment. I began as a true beginner and achieved a solid intermediate level in approximately 16 months, which prepared me to take a year long position in Senegal.
If you want an excellent French teacher, you should take classes with Lucile Lunde.
Since my research is conducted in francophone Africa, I started learning French in order to be more successful and efficient at my job. However, because I am 30 years old with a rigorous work schedule, I quickly vetoed the option of taking undergrad language courses at Colorado State University (CSU). Although, I attempted to study and learn French on my own through various online platforms and mobile apps, I quickly realized that my self-learning was missing some vital components in regards to phonetics, vocabulary usage, and verb conjugation. After reaching out to the head of CSU’s Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, I was quickly referred to Lucile Lunde. In the department head’s own words, “With Lucile as your tutor, you will see quick results and she will go out of her way to tailor instruction to your needs.” She was not wrong.
I started private French lessons with Lucille in March, because I was planning to go to France in May. Immediately we had to switch to Zoom lessons because of the pandemic. Lucille's lessons on Zoom were very well organized. She emailed excellent written material prior to each session that included information, vocabulary and phrases. Each of the 6 lessons focused on a different aspect of being a tourist in France (hotels, transportation, restaurants, general greetings, etc.) Lucile is very nice and supportive. I recommend her class to anyone going to France (when we get to travel again) or to anyone who just wants to learn French for whatever reason.
