French Book Club

Being able to read a French book in its original language enables you to truly appreciate the work and is a wonderful way to immerse yourself in the language! You learn vocabulary, sharpen your French skills, and deepen your knowledge of Francophone history and culture.

Our French Book Club gives you the opportunity to read a variety of great works from the French-speaking world, from classics of the French Renaissance to contemporary works from Cameroun. As our discussions are also in French, an upper intermediate level or at least 3 years of French are recommended so you can engage in the conversation.

Below is a selection of authors we may read:
  • Colette
  • Marguerite Duras
  • Aurélie Valognes
  • Léonora Miano
  • Georges Perec
  • Amélie Nothomb
  • Françoise Sagan
  • Boris Vian
  • Guy de Maupassant
  • Pierre Choderlos de Laclos
  • Romain Gary
